this is for dad :]
just now mum, marc and i went to the national museum. th architecture is awesome, very beautiful place.
1. we saw maria theresia's exhibition, she was a very diplomatic empress of austria, she managed to fight and win countless battles, despite the fact that she was a female. we saw many artefacts during her reign, tyhe one i liked most was a real harpsichord which was made in that time!
2. we went to another exhibition which was about the history of singapore. naturally, people like me would be bored, but no, it was very good. it was an interactive experience like that in the palaces that you and mum had visited, we wore those headphones and pressed the no. that was sown on the floor and heard the commentary on the artefacts or paintings which were there. it was very interestingly done, i could see the hard work put into the exhibition...
3. this was truly fun, we went into the big balloon structures made from thin plastic, called amozozo. (
www.architects-of-air.com) is totally handcrafted. the light from outside shines through and the different coloured fabrics let in different coloured light. the dome shaped patterns gave a bouncy feel to it. it was designed to help people relax, i thik it reached its goal because the colours were rather mild, yet vibrant at the same time...
